Shred Video App Reviews

I bought one video to test how this app would work. They charged me for the video but I couldn’t save it. I sent e-mails to them, but nobody replied me. The app is cool, the final video was great. But how does it matter if you pay and can’t get your video or any support from them?

Transitions are just the usual zoom / pan around on photos and the video cuts are kinda lame. Magisto is still the way to go with automated video editing. Was really hoping for more. I’ll revisit in a year and see if its improved.

So the free version of the iPad app replay gives me better quality output and you can purchase a license of that for less than 1/3 of the price. Now the free version seems to be better than the paid app here, since buying ‘unlimited saves’ really only removes the watermark. There’s just not much here.

I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time. As an avid outdoor sports enthusiast, I love taking videos of my friends, family (and of my action shots) doing the sports/activities we love. Problem is it just takes so long afterwards to make a decent video to share with everyone. So much time in fact, I quit making them except for very special events. I think those days are over. I literally just made two really cool videos and it took me just a few minutes. I was blown away by this App. My video files are fairly long (mountain bike riding) but Shred found some of the best action shots, set it to the music and made a really cool video. It wasn’t perfect but it was really good. Frankly I was blown away at how good it was. Also, somehow it also gets the transitions right … it kind of sets the cuts to the beat/rythm of the song. Looking forward to trying it for ski season and also for my kids volleyball games and skateboarding sessions. I normally don’t rate apps but this one is something I have been wanting for a long time. I gave it 5 stars as I am going to use this … a lot!! Thanks Shred.

If you’re like me you probably have a gazillion gigs of vids that you never look at. You know, you were all hyped to shoot when you went on vacation, blah blah blah. But you felt like barfing every time you thought about actually editing them into something reasonable. Shred is like nitrous for someone about to get a to get a root canal, it takes all the pain away, and in fact makes you feel really good (though a bit spacey). You just hit a button and somehow shred figures out what parts are interesting. My videos were pining for a musical serenade, Shred gives it to ‘em, like a lover tickling the guitar strings on a moonlit night. (OK maybe that’s exaggerated). But seriously, no idea how they get the song to fit, but somehow they do. Anyhow try it, you’re unlikely to regret it. And if you do, you can always go get a root canal.

I’m really impressed with how well shred handles my videos and makes a coherent edit that looks like I spent hours on it. Great app!

Seriously, everyone hates having to edit video and taking the hours and hours putting things together. I love this app and will be using it for every mountain bike, longboarding, surfing, snowboarding, dirbiking video that I produce. Can’t wait to show my friends

So much potential here. I immediately bought the $30 unlock becuase I love the concept. Dragged some 240FPS videos over from the photos app and it lined them up quite nicely. Added a classical soundtrack and it clobbered it. You can’t chop Strauss up the way you might some repetitive electronic soundtrack. So I’ll probably have to do the music myself. It would be nice to have some suggested sountracks, even better some included royalty-free sountrackts that we can actually use kind of like imovie. I uploaded my first movie to Facebook and they immediately pulled it because of the copyrighted sountrack. Here’s what I want: 1. All the clips laid out in a vertical column showing the automatic cropping that’s been applied so that I can adjust said cropping easily. The algorithm doens’t always get it right. 2. An easy interface to control the audio mixing. Hitting the refresh button for more automatic tries is pretty limited. There’s real potential here. Please keep up the good work. useless app, cant get the sequences with action. All the boring stuff. Recommendation: Do it yourself, this app won’t work.

I had thousands of movie clips just laying around in my hard drive for years! my friend told me about this app and I tried it and it’s brilliant. Must have for all those sports lovers with GoPro footages. It works better with upbeat music it seems. It literally takes less than 30secs to make a movie in awesome sequence that matches the music perfectly. That’s all.

this app is incredibly easy to use. i downloaded it, uploaded some pics and music and it just works! highly recommended to anyone who wants to produce videos fast.

DO NOT USE THIS APP. I paid $6 to buy a video that they helped me make and it is nowhere to be found…… this app is seriously the worst. save your money and time.

Just threw down some video footage with a few songs I recorded with my college band… super awesome! Saved me a TON of time - highly recommended!

Wow, this app is a game-changer. We’ve all shot hours and hours of footage with the goal of making an awesome video to share. But when it comes to having to do all the editing, it takes forever. This app makes it easy and takes care of the editing for you.

This app’s treatment of the background music is just magic. You can’t even tell the song has been compressed down to half its length or less! Can’t wait to go through all the footage I’ve captured and never done anything with.

Just got back from a boating trip, while a got alot of awesome footage I always dread spending hours and hours putting it all together. It’s a FULL TIME job! So I went exploring to find a better way. Saw this app and decided to give it a try. What I thought was going to take me an hour to pull all my footage together, took me FIVE minutes with this app! Will be using this going forward! Seriously now when im out getting awesome footage I know longer dread the work in front of the computer. Keep it up Shred!

I’ve had videos laying around collecting “digital dust” and had no time to edit them. Shred took those videos out and polished the dust off and turned them into awesome shareable moments!!

I’ve spent 100’s of hours editing video footage and spending most of that time trying to get the video transitions and speed to match the beat of the music. Shred takes all the work out and does that for me! I’m so pumped about this product. Its not trying to be a full-featured video editor. Its trying to make it so you get awesome production value with almost zero effort, and I care about that a lot more than trying to hone my skills in one of the other beastly video editors out there.
