kind of amazing this thing actually works. when I first read the description of this app I honestly was a bit skeptical, bc it sounded hyped …but it’s honestly pretty legit. whoever created this technology must be geniuses because it seriously blew my mind. I cant stop using it LOL. seriously addicted to this thing. It always finds the best parts of my vids and pics. and the video it creates from them with my music and everything is like a professional did it. just one request: it would be so cool if you added some songs in there so if i don’t have any of my own or if i want something new i can choose for that. i would pay for it.

this app is money

So there IS an alternative to spending hours at the edit bench. Love what you’re doing.

The app is impressive and works well … but is there a way to break the 15 second limit? If not, that fact should be included in the app description

Just got the app and was so excited to try it out. I put all of my photos in and then added my music and then the app crashed. Ever time I go to add my music it crashes.

first version crashed on me. installed the updated. didn’t crash on me this time. but i got a black screen with music — no video. i gave it a video i shot with iphone 5s and a standard mp3 music file. hmn. moving on.

Shred Video is most notable for its simplicity and practicality. A great way to combine action scenes or summarize an event. Drag photos and videos into the placeholder, add a song, and select “Shred.” That’s it! Videos are designed to have a music soundtrack for synchronization purposes. Sound from the videos are overrided by the music.

WOW! HUGE time saver! This version is definitely better. It takes me on average 10 hours to edit a video. Even for a short one. So loving how Shred allows me to quick throw the files in and pick a song.

This is the best video editing app ever, extremely easy to use, upload the video —> Boom! The work is done. Huge fan! I would give these guys 10 stars if I could.

UPDATE: New version runs even better for me than last version did Pretty awesome. Drop in some footage of me playing piano (without audio) add a Skrillex soundtrack… Boom! Instant hilarity.

Needed this application for my vacation to the East Coast, and “Shred” saved me hours on the editing and going through all the videos I took! This application is very simple to use, and only takes seconds to make Instagram worthy videos! Amazing!

I love this app. It’s awesome. It’s as simple as what you see here. For a quick 60-120 second video of something, this is great. It won’t make you a 10 minute video of a week long vacation, but at least for me those are rare - I just need a cut from a day on the boat or something. The only downside I’ve seen is that it struggles with some songs to actually make a video. It seems like if the song doesn’t have a good enough beat it won’t actually produce the song, but that’s a pretty limited view. So… it doesn’t work with every song, but for me it’s worked 95% of the time. Still happy with the $30 lifetime usage I paid.

This app is a MUST HAVE for everybody that records videos. It is extremely fast & easy to use, does a great job editing and mixing, and is much faster at rendering and saving than traditional video editing software! WAY TO GO GUYS!!!

I was excited to try this but almost half the time I “shred” a video I just end up with a black screen with music playing in the background. There is absolutely no troubleshooting guide, FAQ or support email. The few times I have gotten the product to work, the videos have been mediocre. I was really disappointed and would have easily spent the $30 for the full version if it worked.

So, I was looking for a good Video editor, and i found this. It worked good at first, but then I realized I couldn’t make the music quieter and i had to PAY for the video. As soon as I figured it out, I turned it off and never used it again. All in all, don’t use this unless you don’t commentate on your videos or you have alot of money.

Is there an option to save higher quality video?

UPDATE: I received a letter apologizing for the poor customer service and offering a short term unlocked beta version, but I had given up on the project and moved on, using iMovie instead so they sent a refund immediately. I tried this application and it seemed to work well. It made a great video and music mix, but then I purchased the single copy for 99 cents wtih the watermark. And received nothing. I thought I made a mistake and the purchase did not go through, so I did it again. Still nothing. I wrote customer service and they promised to send an unlocked short term release but then they did not send it and did not follow up. I have sent two follow up emails and there has been no response from their support team despite their promise of quick service. In their only response, they told me there was a finder window that comes up to save and so, thinking it must have been my mistake, I tried again - spending another 99 cents. No finder window came up. There is a button that says I already purchased this video, so I tried that. It repeatedly came back that there was a problem. So, I guess maybe this works if you buy the full version but their offer to allow you to buy one video at a time as needed is worthless. It does not work. All you do is waste your money and you get nothing - not one thing.

I like the one on the iphone the best, where you can do a quick and easy 15 second photo and/or video montage to share on FB or Instagram. Can’t believe how simple it is and how good the videos turn out. Just started using the desktop app, which until recently, I didn’t even realize existed. This creates 30 second videos and you have much more control in terms of choosing what sections of the videos and song to include. This version is obviously way better for more professional looking editing.

This app rarely works for me. Total waste of time and money. Horrible and frustrating.

The least fun part of owning a drone is editing all the footage down to something short and fun so I can share it. It’s support time consuming… until I found Shred. It takes me about 90 seconds now to create awesome videos.
